3D Printing
Our Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) machines can print parts of any geometry, no matter how complex. They create accurate PLA, ABS, Nylon, and PVA parts based on CAD designs.
We currently use this technology at Griffiths Precision Moulds to create any plastic models, working prototypes, and sketch models at several stages in the design development process.
Due to the software we use, 3D printing enables us to create geometries that are impossible to manufacture by any other method.
3D printed parts and assemblies are mechanically strong, lightweight, dimensionally accurate to +/-0.05 mm, and resistant to chemicals or distortion due to environmental changes.
This is a quick, low-cost way to create a model or mould for a huge variety of applications. For a quote on anything, from initial computerised sketches to printed models, please contact us.
Ready to print?
You can send us your CAD files (a solid from SolidWorks, Solidedge, Inventor, CATIA, Pro E, STEP, SAT or IGES) by email, and we can begin printing your design straightaway.
We also accept files that have been made using 3D scanners, and are able to recreate already existing parts to an extremely high-build resolution.
Note: They can be ready the very next day for collection or delivery. This service is dependent on machine times and how busy our machines are.
Meet the printers…
